These are samples of my recording productions. Each will contain a description of the technique, or something interesting to listen for.
I would highly recommend listening through a good pair of stereo monitor speakers, or a good set of headphones, as the quality from laptop speakers is never that good.

Recording samples - Live Classical
These are recordings of live performances at Eastern Nazarene College. (2005- 2008)
All were mixed in Logic. For these, I set up the mics, recorded the production, then followed by mixing and completing the post-production later in the studio.

Mozart’s Requiem
excerpts from Introitus Dies Irae Confutatis Live performance of Mozart’s Requiem. Performance by Eastern Nazarene College Choral Union, under the direction of Delvyn Case. The challenge in this piece was to get the chorus audible above the orchestra. For these recordings, I put mics off each side of the podium, to get the sound and feel of the orchestra from the conductor’s perspective, and used a spaced pair for the choir. |
Jean Danton, soprano, sings Spring in a voice recital. This was relatively simple X-Y mic with an accent for the vocals.
